Next Stop on the Ron Paul Campaign Trail: New Hampshire
Source: The State Column
“Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.), a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, will spend tomorrow afternoon at the Northland Dairy Bar & Restaurant in Berlin, New Hampshire. The Northland Dairy Bar & Restaurant is a family friendly place known for its ice cream, seafood and pastries.
Over the next several days, Congressman Paul will be campaigning hard in the Granite State. Paul will be making stops at the Majestic Theater, Eaton Village Stores and the Freedom Village Stores among other locations on July 1st. Paul’s focus on New Hampshire is not unusual as the Granite State is the first state to hold a presidential primary every four years.
Typically, presidential candidates justify spending extra time in New Hampshire, because of what a strong finish in the New Hampshire primary can mean for a campaign. Mitt Romney, also a candidate for the GOP nomination, made his candidacy official in New Hampshire.
Every indication is that Paul’s campaign will be encouraged by the results of the New Hampshire primary. At the end of May, a CNN/WMUR poll showed Paul grabbing second in the New Hampshire primary. More recently, a Suffolk University/WHDH poll of potential and official candidates showed Paul taking third in the New Hampshire primary, beating out Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty and Jon Huntsman.”
