Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul to hold campaign rally in Okla … – The Republic
OKLAHOMA CITY — Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will hold a campaign rally in Oklahoma City.
Paul’s campaign announced Wednesday that the 12-term congressman from Texas will deliver a speech during a rally Saturday at the state Capitol. It’s Paul’s first public appearance in Oklahoma during his 2012 campaign for president.
The rally is expected to begin about noon, with Paul scheduled to speak about 1 p.m. on the plaza south of the Capitol. Paul is expected to meet with reporters after his speech.
Several GOP presidential candidates have made recent stops in Oklahoma, where the presidential primary election will be held March 6. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich both visited the state this month, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney made a stop in October.
