Ron Paul Argues for ‘ObamaCare’ Opt-Out – Patch.com

Nov 30, 2011

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said tonight in Portsmouth that if he’s elected, he would enact a general opt-out provision for President Obama’s health care law.

More than 300 people came out see Paul at the downtown Sheraton hotel during a town hall-style event. It was one of his biggest New Hampshire crowds, according to his campaign. Roughly the same amount of people came out when he announced his campaign in Exeter back in May.

Paul was introduced by New Hampshire State Sen. Andy Sanborn, R-Henniker. Several other lawmakers came out support him, including the mother-son pair of state representatives, Laura Jones, R-Rochester, and Kyle Jones, R-Rochester.

Paul touched on his familiar talking points – bringing all troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan, doing away with the Federal Reserve, and ending agricultural regulations that limit the sale of raw milk.

We also asked him his opinion on the New Hampshire right-to-work legislation that was killed by lawmakers today. Check back tomorrow for a video of what he had to say.
